User roles suspension

Customer Admin and Channel Admin users are now able to suspend user access to channels. For more information, see User management Manage channel permissions.

Shareable links

Pro users and above may now create shareable links for media items. For more information, see Shareable links.

Note: Pro and Channel Admin users require the Shareable Links Creator Add On role, for more information see User management.

Zoom transcripts

Zoom import transcripts are now classified as Machine speech-to-text. Customers may now upgrade Zoom meeting transcripts to Human transcription if needed.

Bulk import

The Bulk file import .CSV template is updated to remove a deprecated service. Customers using this upload method must now use this .CSV template to upload media from cloud storage.

Title and Description character maximum

The LivingLens platform now enforces a character limit for media Titles (75 characters) and Descriptions (600 characters).

IP allow-listing

IP allow-listing now provides customers the ability to request IP addresses be configured for allow-listing in LivingLens. File an IP allow-listing configuration request with LivingLens support. Alternatively, customers may request IP allow-listing during onboarding with their Services team. For more information, see IP allow-listing.

Shareable links

Role required: Customer Admin. See User roles.

Shareable Links is now generally available (GA) for all customers in all data centers. For more information, see Shareable links.

Media Capture

  • Media Capture v2 now supports audio capture support for iOS mobile (iPhone) devices using the Safari mobile web browser.

  • Mobile Video, Audio, and Image capture now serve users the desktop version of Media Capture instead of opening the device’s native camera or recording app. These are examples of mobile video and audio capture.

  • Android devices that do not have a native audio capture app installed on the device will now load Media Capture’s audio capture component correctly.

Transcription and Translation labeling

Updated labeling of Human and Machine Speech Recognition transcript icons. Formerly, MSR transcripts were denoted by (Auto) (ie: English (Auto)) and Human transcripts had no denotion (ie: English). This improvement is to make clear which transcripts are MSR and which transcripts are Human.

Shareable links

Role required: Customer Admin. See User roles.

Shareable links allow you to share a LivingLens media file and transcript in a simple web page, regardless of whether the viewer has access to the LivingLens platform. For more information on Shareable links, see:

The Medallia LivingLens platform is available in several languages. Change the display language to your preferred language at any time. For more information, see Localization.

Speaker Separation

LivingLens offers a new transcription format that names or numbers multiple speakers in video and audio file transcripts.

  • See Speaker Separation for supported languages and transcription processing solutions.

  • Upload media and request Speaker Separation as the transcription solution.

  • Upgrade English language media to human transcription with Speaker Separation.

Media Capture Versioning — v2

LivingLens Media Capture v2 embeddable component is now available. For more information on v2 capabilities, see Media Capture Versioning.

Bulk upload update

LivingLens Bulk Upload sheet has a new column. For more information, see How to upload files in bulk.
