A clip is a user-selected segment of a media file. Create clips from full length video and audio files, and choose images, to create a showreel.

Making a clip has no impact on the original media file. Determine which clips are in a showreel at the time of clip creation. Clips cannot be moved from one showreel to another.

Create a clip from video or audio:

  1. Highlight the transcript text that represents the clip.

  2. The clip's start and end points appear as white triangles on the video player.

  3. Click Add Clip To Showreel to save the clip.

  4. Type in a clip name.

  5. Add the clip to a showreel:

    1. Add to an existing showreel by selecting the reel from the Select Existing Showreel menu, or

    2. Create a new showreel. Select Create New Showreel and type in a showreel name.

  6. Click Create Clip.

If the clip does not start or end precisely where you want, use the fine-tune editor in the Showreel editor.

Add an image to a showreel:

  1. Click Add Clip To Showreel.

  2. Type in a clip name.

  3. Add the clip to a showreel:

    1. Add to an existing showreel by selecting the reel from the Select Existing Showreel menu, or

    2. Create a new showreel. Select Create New Showreel and type in a Showreel name.

  4. Click Create Clip.
