Filters are data in a LivingLens channel that help organize and provide context for media uploads.

Use filters to drill down to subset of a channel's uploaded media.

Filters have two components:

  • Filter group — the filter category title. Example: Age

  • Filter name — the filter value, which is applied to a media item. Filter names can be a single word or free text. Example: 20; Example: 18-24

Filters Drawer

Filters only appear in the Filters drawer when they are applied to a media item.

Each filter name displays the number of media items it is applied to. After you click a filter, the remaining filters reprocess to display the number of media items available for the filtered selection.

Standard

Standard filters are applied to every media upload.

  • Country

  • Language

  • Media Source — Video, Audio, Image, Showreel

  • Upload Source — Website, Video Capture, Audio Capture, Image Capture, iPhone/Android {CaptureMe}, Zoom

  • Transcription Available — Yes, No

  • Transcription Status — Not Requested, In Progress, Completed

  • Blurred Status — Facial Blur, Full Blur, Not Blurred

Custom

Custom filters show externally captured and bespoke data that is applied to media. Custom filter groups are listed alphabetically.

Note: Filters programmed in a media capture component appear in the Custom filters section.

Certain Custom filters automatically appear for CaptureMe mobile app and Zoom uploads.

  • App Code — creates a filter for each CaptureMe project respondent

  • Mobile project name — creates a filter group for each CaptureMe mobile project. Each task title appears as a filter

  • User — host of a Zoom imported meeting

Cognitive

Cognitive filters appear when Sentiment Analysis and/or Facial Emotion Analytics is enabled.

  • Sentiment

  • Facial Analysis

Tip: If a filter group has media with more than five filters, use the scroll bar to access all filters within the group.
